Forming & Welding
The Forming and Welding (FW) section brings together decades of expertise and state-of-the-art facilities to support CERN in sheet metal forming and permanent assembly. From precision machining to mechanical assembly, this unit delivers critical parts and proof-of-concept components for CERN’s accelerator complex and experiments. Their machine tool maintenance team ensures the readiness of CERN machine park to meet new challenges every day. Know more.
Methods & Subcontracting
Their mission is to fabricate mechanical components needed by the CERN community. This unit closely collaborates both with CERN main workshop (like the units: Machining and Maintenance, Forming and Welding, Materials, Metrology and NDT) and also with other industrial partners. Know more.
